thirty-five ("The Fourth Love Angel") and manga
volume five, chapter two. In both incarnations, Salvia rescues
the other love angels from Potamos's minion. She also makes it perfectly clear that she works alone and has no interest in joining the other angels.
Anime Salvia is a "pure" love angel (one that has come directly from Tenshi-kai) and lives under the assumed identity of an aloof private school student named Ohara Scarlet. Scarlet attends an all-girl academy and excels in fine activities such as horse riding.
Manga Salvia died during the Wedding Wars and was reincarnated as Ohara Scarlet, the daughter of an American woman and Japanese man. Scarlet awakened the memories of her past life several years before the other love angels but found herself tormented by these recollections. Limone advised Scarlet to seek out her angelic companions in Japan, so she became a returnee student at Saint Hanazono.
Due to a trauma suffered during the Wedding Wars, Salvia feels compelled to destroy all devils no matter the circumstances. To Salvia, petty human feelings get in the way of her self-charged mission of destruction. It is this mind set which brings her to clash with the other love angels, all of whom seek a more peaceful resolution to the conflict between the warring angels and devils.
After years of being consumed by hate and isolating herself from others, it is through her contact with the other love angels that Salvia begins to take the first steps toward healing her wounded soul.
