Ai Tenshi Densetsu Wedding Peach is a Japanese series created by Tomita Sukehiro and Yazawa Nao in 1995. The manga spanned six standard tankoubon and one special volume, while the ever popular anime adaptation ran for 51 television episodes with a four-episode OAV (Wedding Peach DX) following after the conclusion of the TV series. Both anime and manga have subsequently been released in English, with the anime licensed by ADV Films and the manga by Viz Media. Although the current fanbase for Wedding Peach is rather small, the series was immensely popular in Japan over a decade ago and still maintains a loyal US fanbase.

Wedding Peach tells the story of twelve-year old Hanasaki Momoko, an average girl whose life is turned upside down when devils appear and try to steal her ruby ring. It is when the devils attack that Momoko discovers she is in fact the love angel Wedding Peach, a holy warrior whose job it is to protect love within the human world from certain demonic destruction. The evil Reine Devila has plans to crush the angels forever- can Momoko and her friends save the day with the power of love?

Although the basic story behind Wedding Peach is standard magicl girl fare, the enduring motifs of love and friendship continue to be relevant for young girls today. Momoko's tale is one which maintains its charm regardless of age, whether you enjoy it for its magical escapism or its modern Romeo and Juliet edge.

This website focuses on the fourth love angel to appear in the Wedding Peach series, Angel Salvia (Ohara Scarlet). A sassy sword-wielding agent from the heavens, Salvia walks the fine line between "friend" and "enemy" with her loner attitude and violent behaviour.
