The background music in dragonaut -the resonance- (composed by Yamashita Kousuke) is surprisingly strong. It manages to remain captivating in even the most ridiculous scenes, adding a level of emotion that simply wouldn't be present without it. Although Kitajima doesn't have a specific "theme" track on the two-disc original soundtrack, there are several backing tracks that play during her key scenes. These are provided for your listening pleasure below.

• Disc 1 track 11 "dragon no nazo" — This theme plays repeatedly in scenes between Kitajima and Nozaki, particularly in the presence of Ravum and the dragon eggs.
• disc 1 track 18 "hime goto" — Plays during the "nineteen years ago" flashback in episode three as Kitajima discovers a dragon egg on the ocean floor.
• disc 1 track 24 "toa no shinjitsu" — Plays during the scene in episode twelve when Kitajima realises that Nozaki is actually Atrum. The same theme plays when she senses Nozaki's death in episode twenty-five.
• disc 2 track 02 "Kokoro Kasanete" — Plays during the "five years ago" flashback while Kitajima and Yonamine are on their date.
